• Notes

  Presumed father Following their defeat during the battle of Dunbar in 1650, during the "Third English Civil War," several thousand defeated Scottish soldiers were marched south 100 miles and held at Durham Cathedral in England as prisoners of war. It is not known if this Thomas Jamieson is a descendant of one of these Scottish Prisoners of war, but that could certainly be plausible.
